Parent Champions conference and awards 2015
The Parent Champions conference and awards 2015 took place on 11 March 2015 at BMA House, London.
The Parent Champions conference is held every year to celebrate the achievements of Parent Champions. The conference is attended by members of the Parent Champions National Network and usually features a high-profile speaker. The conference gives attendees an opportunity to learn more from the experiences of local schemes and hear about the wider national context for Parent Champions.
The conference saw the presentation of the frist ever Parent Champions awards. We were delighted to welcome Liverpool MP Louise Ellman who presented the Parent Champions awards. There were more than seventy delegates, and over twelve schemes shared their inspiring experiences at plenary and workshop sessions. We also launched our new case study films on Parent Champions Carlisle, Parent Champions Leeds and Parent Champions Wandsworth. The day finished with a wonderful panel session with four Parent Champion volunteers sharing their own stories and experiences.
