You are here: News Coram Family and Childcare sign the LCPA Mayoral Election Manifesto
Coram Family and Childcare is pleased to be among the organizations who have recently signed the London Child Poverty Alliance (LCPA) mayoral election manifesto. The shared manifesto, 'A future free from child poverty: our vision for London’s recovery', calls on the Mayoral candidates to commit to key actions that we collectively believe will have a significant and lasting impact on rates of child poverty in the capital.
We know that the early years are vital and we are calling on the candidates to support local authorities and the childcare sector to make sure there is enough high-quality childcare available for every family who needs it.
The individual members of the LCPA, including 4in10, Z2K, Shelter and Child Poverty Action Group have in-depth knowledge on a wide range of issues gained from their experience of working with communities across London.
Areas of specialism include food insecurity, digital exclusion, housing, childcare, employment and transport. Tackling poverty requires action in all these areas and we hope that the next Mayor will engage with us and draw on this expertise during their term in office.
