You are here: News Response to more detail from Government on 30 hours free childcare offer
In response to the release of further detail by the Department for Education on the Government’s 30 hour free childcare offer, Julia Margo, chief executive at the Family and Childcare Trust said:
“It is good to see some further detail of the Government’s plans for the 30 hour offer. The scale of responses from parents shows what an important issue this is for families across the country and how important quality and flexibility are to them. These sentiments echo our own call on Government to use the £535 million savings from the delay in roll-out of Tax Free Childcare and invest in flexibility to make sure working families can access free childcare at the times when they need it. “We look forward to this issue being debated in the House of Lords.”
