You are here: Fathers Consultation Interview Form
Thank you for your interest in taking part in a telephone interview about fathers’ use of family services in Nottingham and what support you need as a dad. Your feedback could help improve services for fathers in Nottingham and you will be given a £15 supermarket voucher as a thank you for your time.
We would like to talk to you if you are a father in Nottingham with a child aged 4 and under and live within one of the twenty Nottingham City wards. This includes fathers who live with their children, fathers who don’t live with their children, stepfathers, and men whose partner is pregnant.
The interview will last for about 20 to 30 minutes. To take part, please fill in the form below. You can book your own interview slot after filling in this form. If none of the available slots are convenient for you please email M.Dali-Chaouch@coramfamilyandchildcare.org.uk
More information
We, at Coram Family and Childcare, have been commissioned by Small Steps, Big Changes (SSBC) to do this work. They are a National Lottery Community Fund programme supporting families, babies and young children in four areas of Nottingham. We want to hear from fathers to see whether and how services can be improved so that they better meet what fathers want and need. We are interviewing 100 fathers who live in Nottingham and will be holding focus groups later in the summer.
These interviews and focus groups will ask about fathers’ experience of using services. By this we mean groups and services that are particularly for parents and children, such as children’s centres, stay and plays, libraries and play groups. We want to hear about fathers’ views and experiences.
If you decide to take part, everything you say in this research will be completely anonymous. This means you will not be identifiable by SSBC, or anyone else, based on the information you provide us. We will write a report about what we have learned from all our interviews but it will not include your name or any other information that could identify you. We will record the interview so we can make an accurate record of what you say. We will delete these recordings and any other information we hold about you when our research has finished.
If you tell us something that makes us think that a child or vulnerable adult has been harmed or is in danger, we will need to tell the police or social services in order to keep them safe as well as some other staff at Coram Family and Childcare.
After your interview, we will give you a £15 voucher to thank you for your time. If after taking part in an interview you decide that you do not want us to use your interview about you, you can ask us to do this by email or phone before 18th September.
