Childcare Survey 2025 webinar

Wednesday 30 April, 12.00- 1.15pm, Teams

Join us at our webinar to discuss the key findings of the Coram Family and Childcare annual Childcare Survey 2025, the first published since the roll-out of new childcare entitlements for working parents in England began in April 2024. We will also be discussing price changes in Scotland and Wales, sufficiency data across Great Britain and our brand new parent section.

Childcare Survey 2025 authors - Lydia Hodges, Emma Goddard, Sam Shorto and Alicia Knights-Toomer - will be joined by Sarah Ronan, Director of the Early Education and Childcare Coalition, a group of 30+ organisations working together to reform the current system.

The Childcare Survey 2025 provides the definitive information on the cost and availability of childcare in Great Britain. This year it found that:

  • a part-time nursery place for a child under two now costs an average of £70.51 per week in England, down by 56% on 2024
  • prices in Scotland and Wales rose by 7% and 10% respectively, and childcare costs for three-to-four-year-olds across Great Britain rose by almost 5%
  • there are still gaps in availability of childcare places for children with special educational needs and disabilities

We look forward to seeing you.
