Childcare for all: the role of the Local Offer

Adam Butler, Nhung Vu and Abi Watson

This report looks at the quality of information about childcare for children with special educational needs and disability provided in all local authority’s Local Offer. The report found that the quality and scope of information and guidance available is worryingly patchy and varies significantly.

We have also prepared a good practice guide and checklist for local authorities on delivering information about childcare for children with special educational needs and disabilities as part of the Local Offer.
