Stephen Dunmore has been appointed as interim chief executive at the Family and Childcare Trust and will take up the role on Monday 2 February.
Stephen was previously chief executive at the New Opportunities Fund, which developed and funded a large-scale childcare programme between 1998 and 2003, and subsequently the Big Lottery Fund.
Since leaving the Big Lottery Fund in 2008, he has held interim chief executive roles at the Responsible Gambling Fund, The Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fund, the Lumos Foundation and the National Consumer Council; he has also been chair of Capacitybuilders, National Family Mediation and the BBC’s Awards Advisory Committee.

Mr Dunmore replaces Anand Shukla, who will take up the role of chief executive at Brightside, a young people’s mentoring charity.
The charity’s board of trustees will now start the work to recruit a permanent chief executive.
