Who are the Family and Childcare Trust?
The Family and Childcare Trust is the leading national charity in the field of policy, research and advocacy on childcare and family issues, working closely with government, local authorities, businesses and charities to achieve positive and long lasting change for families across the UK. We also deliver programmes, including Parent Champions, connecting families with services and support, by creating a volunteer parent-led workforce, empowering families to make their voices heard.
We are currently looking for 10 young fathers to join the collective. If you are a father or an expectant father aged 16-25 then this might just be the job for you.
What is the Young Dads Collective?
The Young Dads Collective works to reduce the levels of isolation and poverty experienced by young dads and at the same time develop our skills for the workplace. We work with and for young dads under 25, to enable them to share their knowledge and experiences with practitioners, service providers and policy makers, to influence change in policy and practice.
As a member of the collective you will receive training and be asked to perform a wide range of tasks from promoting local services by handing out flyers to designing and delivering workshops at conferences.
You will work in small groups talking to local community services about your experiences of being a young dad. You will also have the opportunity to work within the media designing campaigns and challenging young dad stereotypes.

- Public Service Consultation
We pay London Living wage (£9.40 per hour) plus travel. The work is casual and designed to fit around a busy family schedule.
